- How do HAIRTWO products promote growth?
Hair roots, or follicles, go through a three-stage life cycle. It begins with a phase of rapid growth and hair shaft formation, known as the anagen phase. This is followed by regression, characterised by apoptosis or cell death. Finally, the follicle ‘rests’ in the telogen phase, and then the process starts again. Typically, the percentage of follicles in the telogen phase varies between 5 and 15%. An increase in this percentage leads to excessive hair loss or hair thinning

Hair thinning and permanent hair loss is caused by follicular miniaturisation. This means that the follicles that produced healthy hair during the anagen phase start to produce weaker and thinner strands. This process disrupts the growth cycle, making the hair appear sparse.
